Snapshot No. 710-714
714.@A "yama-zakura"
A "sakura" has blossomed this year too. At a nearby square.
As this is a species called "yama-zakura (sakura)" (mountain-sakura or wild sakura), leaves and flowers come out togethe at the same time.
Many slender bees are flying around the flowers.
It is generally said that "yama-zakura" gets taller and has much longer life than the improved breeds. It looks this tree proves this saying.

712. Oo inu no fuguri

This time of year brings many kinds of flowers at roadsides. One of the most conspicuos is this
oo inu no fuguri.
The native,
inu no fuguri, is said to have decreased because of this
oo inu -.
711. A calculation error

A newspaper clip reporting an accident at a construction site. The headline reads "A strength calculation error".
For such support beam designing, there exist commonsense values, for this strength, that size with this materials, and thus, the likes of errors are to be found sooner or later by the designer itself or by its colleagues.
Even if drawings with error are sent to the work place, the error will be soon detected, and the peson in charge of the drawing ends up being reprimanded severely by the site foreman. In any event, it is to be impossible to deliver a product with insufficient strength.
Although I had thought, to be - -, I have realized that they were the stories of the past.
At present, the design of most products is based on PCs and done by a single person, and the manufacturings are by subcontractors, or sub-subcontractors. Or, at times, the subcontractor is at overseas.
Today, things are structured in such a way that once buttoned wrongly, it goes all the way to the unexpected end.
710. Local shrines

There are many small shrines at the vantage points of upland edges around here. The shot is for one of them.
I have recently noticed a peculiar phenomenon at shrines. That is such scene that young persons clap their hands and bow deeply in an exaggerated fashion.
IMHO, the local deities have survived to this day even after the Buddhism came to this land, just becasue commoners have dared to shun such mere formalities.
The deities must be saying to those young, "no need such formality, relax, do as you wish".
